Salamander Pumps – Choosing the Right Pump for your Bathroom
Author: dpinning // Category: Shower Pumps, ShowersEverybody wants to have a clean, luxurious, and stylish bathroom. The bathroom is the second most important part in a house, after the kitchen, which is why enhancements to a bathroom can be considered as a clever investment of both money and time. One great way to add new life to your bathroom is to install a new shower enclosure. In modern design circles, the shower appears to be rivalling the bath as the most desired commodity in the bathroom, and the shower enclosure is regarded as being tremendously important.
However, one of the most common problems being encountered that affects the installation of a shower in bathrooms is low water pressure. Having low water pressure can minimise the enjoyment of having a shower. To resolve this problem, you can add a Salamander pump during your shower’s installation. A Salamander pump works on very simple principles to increase your bathroom’s water pressure.
There are many different types of pump available on the market nowadays. You can now easily choose the type of pump required based on your needs. Salamander shower pumps are engineered and designed to ensure a long and maintenance-free life. These pumps are strong, robust, and user-friendly. Each pump is individually tested to ensure its safety, performance, and quality of workmanship. But of course, before buying anything, it is still a good idea to find other relevant information on this topic with the help of a professional plumber. By choosing quality accessories that suit your preferences and taste, you will be able to change your bathroom into a modern and relaxing zone.

We have bought a Deva DYN204 shower
The plumber has fitted an Aqualisa
1.2 bar pump which doesn’t seem enough
Shower literature states 1.5 bar
We would like it to be like our old power shower
Would a 2.0 bar be more suitable, or could it be too much?
Hope you can help

Hello Steve,
If a shower pump has already been fitted, then you will be fine to replace it with an increased bar pump. A 2.0 or 3.0 bar pump would be suitable and certainly shouldn’t be too much. You need to check whether it is a negative or positive head pump that you have.
